Summer Holiday Tuesday Try IT Sessions
Have a Go Day – 13th Birthday Celebration
Long Eaton Art Room turns 13 in April 2019.
We are throwing open our doors for a huge family fun day. Saturday 13th April. 10AM – 3PM
Learn all about the Long Eaton Art Room, see our facilities, try crafts, drink tea and chat. There will be lots of different craft activities to have a go at, something for all ages and abilities including:
Paint a Pot
Pyrography
Badge Making
Leatherwork
Print making
Suncatchers
Spring Flowers
Easter themed Pom-Poms
Play with Clay
Spinning demonstrations
Entry will be free for all but there will be a small fee for all activities to cover materials costs. All funds raised will go towards essential building renovations.
Refreshments will be available all day. Fully accessible to all for the open day.
Printmaking for beginners
We have received funding from HEN to run 12 sessions on printmaking with an emphasis on wellbeing.
The course will be 12 half day sessions covering a range of basic printmaking techniques, it will be totally free for those 12 sessions. Commencing Tuesday 30th April 2019 10am-12pm
Limited to eight participants booking is essential.
This 12 week course is aimed at beginners to enable you to build up knowledge and confidence about printmaking in a supported friendly atmosphere. We aim to encourage you to explore, and experiment with the following techniques:
Polystyrene Printing,
Mono Printing,
Lino Printing and
Screen Printing.
We are looking for participants who can commit to all 12 sessions and will benefit from the therapeutic aspects of arts work with a view to those who have enjoyed the workshops possibly continuing the journey in paid sessions after the free 12 sessions end.

We are selling off some of our stocks of fabric to help fundraise towards building renovations.
We have lots of amazing quality stock including: real leather off-cuts, upholstery fabric roll ends, hundreds of fabric samples and off cuts, lace, lace trims, wool on cones and in balls, cushion stuffing, marino wool and more

Printmaking workshops
Over the summer holiday one of our resident artists will be delivering drop in printmaking workshops.
These are aimed at ages 3-11.
All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
Places are £5 per participant per session.
Summer Holiday Workshops
We are now taking bookings for our summer holiday workshops.
These are open to all ages and abilities unless stated otherwise.
Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Its free to accompany a child unless you want to participate. Adults are not only welcome but encouraged to have a go at the workshops themselves too.
Workshops cost £7.50 per participant including all materials
Places are limited to 10 so booking is essential.

No Friday Club – 13th And 20th July 2018
Our Friday club will not be running on Friday the 13th and the Friday 20th July due to holidays.
It will be back running again on 27th July
