Fundraising for Electrical upgrades

Nestled in the heart of the historic Lace Factories Conservation Area, Long Eaton Art Room beats with the vibrant pulse of community and culture. As a registered charity, we’re dedicated to nurturing artistic expression through a kaleidoscope of workshops, courses, and artist studio spaces.

However, our beloved Victorian factory building is now facing a critical challenge. Much of the the incoming electrical arrangements date from the original installation 90 years ago and now need an urgent upgrade to meet modern standards.

We’re embarking on a journey to revitalize our electrical systems, to ensure they meet modern standards and power the dreams of generations to come. But we can’t do it alone. We’re reaching out to our community, to friends old and new, to lend a hand in this crucial endeavour. Every donation, whether it’s a beacon of hope from afar or a humble contribution from within, will be matched pound for pound by an anonymous donor, doubling the impact of your generosity.

But our efforts don’t end there. We’re kindling the spirit of community with a series of fundraising events, from the thrill of a quiz night to the charm of fabric sales donated by local businesses. Together, we’ll weave a tapestry of support to illuminate the path forward for Long Eaton Art Room. Your support, in whatever form it may take, will help us shine a light on creativity, innovation, and community spirit. Together, let’s ignite the spark that fuels the imagination of our shared future.

We will split the works into 2 phases.

Phase 1 £2,500 + match funding will give us £5000 needed towards immediate essential repairs and updates to satisfy current inspection requirements.

Phase 2 £10,000 needed to complete further essential updates and replacements within the next 4 years before the next inspection date.
